A listing of scheduled PTO events at Radio Park can be found below. They are also all found on the Radio Park PTO Google Calendar. If you use Google calendars yourself, we highly suggest adding this calendar to your own calendar, so that it's easy to see what is happening with the Radio Park PTO!
If you have any questions about any of these events, please reach out to the PTO! More information about these events are always shared in the PTO newsletters as the dates get closer. Parent volunteers are frequently requested to make many of these a success, so sign up for the PTO newsletter to get these opportunities in your inbox!
August
Meet the Teacher and Kindergarten Social

Meet the teachers, walk through the school, see friends, and sign up to get involved with the PTO this school year :)
September
Radio Park PLAYS
September 3
Radio Park PLAYS is out back-to-school event. This is an informal event where kids can play with their friends on the playground and parents can socialize.
October
Fun Run FUNdraiser
October 8

The Fun Run is the primary fundraiser for Radio Park. The entire school works together to raise funds for our school community. The money raised does SO MUCH for the entire school throughout the school year.
We love to have parents come and cheer on our runners! Students will be running on the bus loop in front of the school. A schedule for each grade will be announced in PTO newsletters.
Harvest Festival

The students are in for a fabulously fun day while they celebrate all things FALL!
Fall Book Fair
October 29-30
There is no school these days; the book fair will be open during school conferences.

RP Creates
November 19
Radio Park Creates is a new event that will showcase our students' art and science talents.
January
BINGO Night
January 22
BINGO night is a fun Radio Park tradition. It's an evening of bingo for the entire family with fun guest callers and loads of prizes.
February
RP Cares
February 12

Radio Park CARES is a school-wide service day where each class completes a project that benefits the community. Each grade level will be completing a project that will then be sent out into the State College community.
In the past, classes have packed Jared Boxes, made treat baskets for first responders and community helpers, packed birthday bags, decorated tissue boxes for a local nursing home, put together cancer care kits, and made treats and toys for the animals at PAWS.
After this event is an all-school assembly where students share the projects they worked on with the rest of the school.
RP Celebrates
February 17
RP Celebrates is a new event that will celebrate different cultures.
March
RP's Got Talent
March 24
Radio Park's GOT TALENT is a night to celebrate our talented students!
For the talent show, we invite any interested Radio Park student to sign, play an instrument, dance, tell jokes, put on a skit, or share any other talent they have.
For the art show, students may submit original artwork that will be displayed during the event for all to view and enjoy.
April
Spring Book Fair
April 6-7
during the school day
The Spring book fair will be held during school hours, and students will be able to shop with their classes.
RP Reads
April 8
Radio Park READS is our literature event that celebrates books and reading! This event caps off the book fair, and gives families and students a chance to shop the book fair together outside of school hours. This is a drop-in event; feel free to come and go as your family's schedule permits.
Visiting Author

A favorite event at Radio Park is welcoming a visiting author to our school. The last few years we have had Eric Valasquez, Saadia Faruqi, Dorenda Doyle, and Kathryn Otoshi all visit our school and share their love of writing with the students. Our fabulous librarian, Mrs. herring, is already working on bringing in another author during the upcoming school year, and we can't wait to see who it will be!

Teacher Appreciation Week

The PTO loves to take this week to celebrate our amazing teachers at Radio Park for all the hard work and dedication they put in for our students all year.
Book Exchange

Every student will get to choose several new-to-them books to take home for the summer.
Parent Picnic

Parents are invited to come to school and have lunch with their child or children.
Field Day

Mr. Moriarta, the PE teacher, always plans a fast-paced, fun-filled event for the students. The PTO always helps out with volunteers though, so look for an email from the PTO to be a part of the fun!
