We love volunteers!

There are so many fun ways to get involved throughout the year! Take a look at our upcoming events and mark your calendar for any you’d love to be part of. As each event gets closer, keep an eye on the PTO newsletter—we’ll send out sign-ups so you can jump in and help make the magic happen! Whether you have a little time or a lot, there’s a place for everyone to pitch in and join the fun.

Background clearances

Many of the volunteer opportunities do not require background clearances, however if you want to volunteer in a role that involves direct contact with students you will need to complete a series of clearances. We recommend getting those clearances completed now because they do take some time to get the results back and then receive final approval from the district. 

Everybody who wishes to volunteer in a role that involves contact with children needs to complete the Policy and Procedure form. This is required yearly, even if you have volunteered in the past and have up-to-date clearances. 

Further clearances need to be completed every 5 years. Detailed instructions for completing these clearances can be found on the district website. Note that it can take up to a week after the volunteer supervisor receives your paperwork for you to be cleared to volunteer - so if there is a special event you want to help with, plan accordingly!
