Alex first joined the district in 2009 teaching English and Journalism at State High.  In 2010, he moved to Park Forest Middle School where he taught English for six years.  From 2016-2021, Alex served as the assistant principal at Mount Nittany Middle School.  In July 2021, Alex returned to his elementary alma mater and became the principal at Radio Park.
 
His education includes:
  • English, Franklin & Marshall College
  • Teaching Certificate, Millersville University
  • Masters in Educational Leadership, Saint Francis University
 
Alex was born and raised in State College and attended Radio Park Elementary School, Park Forest Middle School, and State High.  Alex's wife, Mackenzie, is an ELD teacher at Easterly Parkway Elementary and here at Radio Park and they are the proud parents of a three-year-old daughter named Lanie and a one-year-old son named Meyer.
 
Away from school, Alex enjoys running, biking, swimming, golfing, skiing, reading, and attending State College and Penn State athletic events. He is also actively involved in his church and in the State College swimming community and is a former varsity assistant coach for the swimming and diving team.
