Welcome to Room 144!

I am Mrs. Mary California, and I am thrilled to be teaching third grade at Radio Park. I'm originally from western Pennsylvania, but after graduating from Penn State, my husband and I lived in York County. I went back to school to earn my elementary certification at York College and taught for six years in the Dover Area School District (second and third grade). After our daughter graduated from high school, we decided to move to State College. It is great to be back in Happy Valley! Since our move, I have been a guest teacher (both day-to-day and long-term), but have been teaching third grade full-time since 2013.
