Overview

      My name is Mr. Moriarta and I am the physical education teacher here at Radio Park Elementary School.  I am very excited for my eighth year as an elementary school teacher.  I have also been a day camp counselor in the past for the State College YMCA and the Centre Region Parks and Recreation Association.  I have had the privilege of coaching for over 10 years in the district, including wrestling and girls softball.  I am very excited to be back at Radio Park and Corl Street schools this year and have a lot of new and creative activities to share with my classes. 

      My goal is to teach children the benefits of physical activity in a fun, safe atmosphere and introduce them to a variety of life-long fitness skills.  I will review my expectations for the year with all of my classes the first week of school and reinforce their importance throughout the school year.

      Please make sure to wear athletic shoes on the days you have P.E. class.   We will have class outside at times this year while the weather is nice.  We will be very active and I want everyone to be comfortable and safe while engaging in class activities.  Always keep the 4 B’s in mind as we learn throughout the school year: Be kind, Be respectful, Be responsible, and Be safe.  I am a strong advocate to the golden rule:  “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”  I will be anxious to meet all of my new Mini-Lions and Cougars.  Let’s have a fantastic year!
