Meet Mrs. West

Hello Everyone!

My name is Mrs. West, and I am SO excited to be your teacher and to be working with you! 

I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, so there is no doubt that I'm a Pittsburgh sports fan- Steelers, Penguins, Pirates & Riverhounds! I moved to State College to attend Penn State University, where I received my Undergraduate Degree in Early Adolescent Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education. Therefore, I'm a HUGE Penn State fan! WE ARE..... Penn State... and Radio Park! I also received my Master's Degree in Restorative Practices through the International Institute for Restorative Practices. What can I say... I love to teach and learn!

I am absolutely a dog lover! I have two fur babies of my own- a Black Lab named Harle, and a French Bulldog pup named Brutus. I love going on adventures with them and getting doggy kisses! When I'm not adventuring with Harle and Brutus, I'm usually crafting, decorating, completing a home project, watching a movie, enjoying time with my family, or spending time at my camp in Cook Forest, PA.

If you didn't already know, I'm also one of Mickey and Minnie Mouse's biggest fans! I love anything Disney, and that's why you'll see a lot of Disney things in our classroom. Some of my favorite Disney characters are Buzz Lightyear, Maximus and Pascal from Tangled, and Princess Jasmine and Ariel.

Now that you know a little bit more about me, I can't wait to learn more about you!!! Welcome to our classroom, or what I like to call, our "home away from home!" I cannot wait to see what's in store for us in Room 143!
