Meet Mrs. O...

Over the last 12 years, I have worked in the district as a classroom para, Instructional Support teacher, Second Grade classroom teacher, and Title I Reading teacher. I earned my teaching degree from Cortland College and received my Masters of Education in Reading from the University of Edinboro of Pennsylvania. I am excited about joining the Radio Park team this year!

I believe reading and writing are the foundation of a good education. However, these skills were invented by humans and not skills we naturally pick up like walking or speaking. The brain has to figure out how to connect different processing systems so we can make sense of print. I am a reading research nerd and love keeping up with the ever evolving, complex science.
