Hello! I'm Ms. McLaughlin. This will be my 23rd year of teaching. I am very excited to teach fifth grade!
I was born here in State College and have lived here most of my life. I went to Fairmount Elementary School and I graduated from State High in 1994. I graduated from Slippery Rock University in 1999. After college I taught in Las Vegas, NV for two years. I moved back to State College in 2001 and thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2002. I have enjoyed many adventures, but I am very happy in the classroom sharing and learning with my students!
When I am not in the classroom I am spending time with my family. My daughter Emma, is a sophomore at Penn State and my son Everett is an eighth grader at Mount Nittany Middle School this year. We enjoyed some time on Nantucket with my extended family. We are also excited for the Grange Fair where both kids show animals as part of 4H.
Let's do the best we can to make it a GREAT year! I am looking forward to another year of working with the students and families at Radio Park!
